WORKPLACE SAFETY AND HEALTH CONFERENCE (WSHCON) 2025

The Workplace Safety and Health Conference (WSHCON), organised by the Safety, Health and Environment National Authority (SHENA), coincides with the World Day for Safety and Health at Work. This global observance, initiated by the International Labour Organization (ILO) in 2003, is commemorated annually on 28 April. Its primary aim is to raise awareness of progressive themes and topics related to occupational safety and health. This year’s theme focuses on "Revolutionising Health and Safety: The Role of AI and Digitalization at Work." It highlights emerging work practices such as task automation, big data analytics, smart digital systems, and AI-driven workforce management. As Brunei continues to embrace digital transformation, aligning with the ILO 2025 theme presents an opportunity to enhance workplace safety and health through AI. Through collaboration between regulators such as SHENA, industry leaders, and technology providers, Brunei Darussalam can develop and implement AI-driven solutions that foster safer and more efficient work environments.
