The Safety, Health and Environment National Authority (SHENA) in collaboration with Authority on Building Control and Construction Industry (ABCi)
Important Notes
As part of the process for approval of building works (Borang-C), contractor is required to submit its arrangement on:
- WSH Officer and/or Co-ordinator as applicable for the construction project
- The relevant training requirements.
The submission is to be made using the online form – Safety and Health Notification for Building Operations / Works of Engineering Construction.
The form will processed by SHENA, in parallel to the Borang-C process which is handled by ABCi.
The introduction of this new procedure is the result of ongoing collaboration between SHENA and ABCi.
Several initiatives have been explored to increase compliance to WSHO requirements and improve safety and health performance in Construction industry.
This approach involves putting safety and health requirements as part of the process for approval of building works.
