MiSHA honours SHENA at the MiSHA Asia Excellence Awards 2025

PUTRAJAYA, MALAYSIA, 23 JANUARY 2026 - The Safety, Health and Environment National Authority (SHENA) of Brunei Darussalam was awarded the MiSHA Asia Country Award 2025 under the theme of the Occupational Safety and Health Principle of Prevention (OSHPoP) at the MiSHA Asia Excellence Awards Dinner 2025 held at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre. The event was organised by the Malaysian Industrial Safety and Health Association (MiSHA) to recognise outstanding contributions to Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) across Asia.

The award was received on behalf of SHENA by Yang Mulia Haji Muhsin bin Haji Ahmad, SHENA’s Chief Executive Officer. The recognition reflects SHENA’s ongoing efforts to strengthen Brunei Darussalam’s safety and health management framework, promote prevention-based approaches within OSH governance and support the advancement of OSH practices at the regional level.

The event served as a platform for regional engagement, bringing together OSH authorities, industry representatives, professional bodies, and institutional partners from across Asia. SHENA’s participation in the event underscores its commitment to learning from regional best practices, fostering constructive and strategic engagement with OSH stakeholders, and contributing meaningfully to collective efforts to enhance workplace safety and health standards across the region.
