Berakas, 13 May 2026 - The Safety, Health and Environment National Authority (SHENA), in collaboration with the Blood Donation Centre, Ministry of Health, successfully organised a Blood Donation Drive as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, aimed at supporting public health and strengthening community well-being.
Held in conjunction with SHENA’s annual commemoration of the World Day for Safety and Health at Work 2026, the initiative brought together SHENA personnel and members of the public in a collective effort to contribute to the national blood supply and support patients requiring lifesaving transfusions.
The drive received strong participation, with more than 30 individuals stepping forward to donate blood, reflecting a strong spirit of compassion, solidarity and social responsibility within the community.
Beyond promoting the importance of blood donation, the initiative served as a meaningful reminder of the value of community care and the profound impact that a simple act of giving can have on the lives of others. The event further underscored SHENA’s continued commitment to advancing not only workplace safety and health but also broader humanitarian and community-focused initiatives.
SHENA extends its sincere appreciation to the Blood Donation Centre, Ministry of Health, for its valued collaboration and continuous support in ensuring the success of the initiative, as well as to all the donors who generously gave to this meaningful cause.
