SHENA holds mass Sunat Hajat prayer and recitation of Ratib Al-Attas in conjunction with the launch of Safety Month 2026

Berakas, 28 April 2026 – The Safety, Health and Environment National Authority (SHENA) convened a mass Sunat Hajat Prayer and Recitation of Ratib Al-Attas in conjunction with World Day for Safety and Health at Work 2026.
Held at Masjid Ash-Shaliheen, the spiritually significant gathering brought together participants in solemn unity to seek divine blessings and protection from Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala. The event was dedicated to prayers for the prevention of workplace-related fatalities, injuries and illnesses in Brunei Darussalam, as well as for the continued safety, well-being and blessings of nation’s workforce.
Present as the Guest of Honour was Yang Mulia Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Sufian bin Haji Sabtu, Deputy Minister (Security and Law) at the Prime Minister’s Office, in his capacity as Chairman of the SHENA Board of Directors. The programme commenced with the recitation of Ratib Al-Attas, followed by a mass Sunat Hajat prayer, which was observed in congregation with deep solemnity and devotion.
Also in attendance were members of the SHENA Board of Directors, the SHENA Senior Management Team, SHENA personnel, as well as students from Institut Tahfiz Al-Quran Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah.
Through the organisation of this meaningful religious gathering, SHENA reaffirmed its steadfast commitment to strengthening a robust safety and health culture in Brunei Darussalam. This commitment is pursued not only through policies, enforcement and awareness programmes, but also through holistic approaches that embrace spiritual values and promote collective well-being.
