Tuesday, 06 June 2023 – With the success in the other three districts, the SHENA Safety Month 2023 roadshow came to its last destination in the Belait District at Pusat Insani, Seria. The event witnessed a remarkable turnout with active participation from government agencies, private companies, and institutes of higher learning and schools.

The opening ceremony was graced by the Guest of Honour, Yang Mulia Haji Amirol Hafidzin bin Haji Muhammad, Acting District Officer at the Belait District Office with Yang Mulia Terrance Doughlas Jayasuriya, Director of Enforcement Division, SHENA as the event host.

The event was followed by a tour of the booths that exhibited SHENA’s functions whereas initiatives on workplace safety and health were showcased by the MPEC Secretariat, JobCentre Brunei, Authority on Building Control and Construction Industry (ABCi), Centre for Lifelong Learning C3L, Lifelong Learning Centre L3, Brunei International Airport Cargo Centre (BIACC), Bureau Veritas (B) Sdn. Bhd., Joffren Omar Company Sdn. Bhd., Unified National Networks (UNN), Germanischer Lloyd Offshore & Industrial Services (B) Sdn. Bhd., Megamas Training Co. Sdn. Bhd., Rina Energy (B) Sdn. Bhd., EX-TG Zones Consultant & Services, Kare Medical Clinic and SRS Emergency & Rescue Solutions Sdn. Bhd. Other activities during the Belait district roadshow included informative talk series on topics regarding emerging occupational diseases and ways of ensuring a safe and healthy working environment. Interactive games were also available with the aim of promoting safety awareness in a fun and more engaging manner.

The event concluded with the announcement and prize presentation for the winners of the engaging Play & Win contest; Yang Mulia Liew Min Fei, Yang Mulia Awangku Mohd Abd Halim bin Pengiran Ahmad and Yang Mulia Soffena Desman.
