SHENA regulates and enforces all matters related to workplace Safety, Health and Environment as well as radiation in Brunei Darussalam. A general inspection is conducted to any workplace to verify compliance with Workplace Safety and Health Act, Chapter 277 and the regulations made thereunder and Radiation Protection Act Chapter 228. These inspections encompass both routine and complaint & concern inspections.

Routine inspections are conducted according to inspection programme and planned annually. Complaint and Concern inspections are conducted impromptu, upon receipt of such.
