Berakas, 1 May 2026 – The Safety, Health and Environment National Authority (SHENA) successfully organised “Move with SHENA 2026”, a wellness-focused initiative held in conjunction with the World Day for Safety and Health at Work 2026, as part of its Safety Month 2026 programme.
The event took place at the Menteri Besar Recreational Park and featured a Fun Walk, Run, and Cycle activity with enthusiastic participation from SHENA’s senior management and officers.
The event was graced by the presence of Yang Mulia Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Sufian bin Haji Sabtu, Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, in his capacity as the Chairman of SHENA’s Board of Directors.
“Move with SHENA 2026” reflects SHENA’s broader strategic commitment to promoting holistic wellbeing, integrating both physical vitality and mental resilience. This initiative is aligned with the theme of the World Day for Safety and Health at Work 2026, entitled “Good Psychosocial Working Environments: A Pathway to Thriving Workers and Strong Organisations,” which underscores the critical importance of fostering supportive, inclusive and psychologically safe workplaces.
The programme further demonstrates SHENA’s continued commitment to strengthening a postie safety culture by encouraging healthier lifestyles and enhancing overall wellbeing among employees and stakeholders. It reinforces the principle that safety and health are shared responsibilities, extending beyond workplace into all aspects of daily life.
Through initiatives such as this, SHENA remains steadfast in supporting national efforts to strengthen occupational safety and health practices, thereby contributing towards a safer, healthier and more resilient working environment in Brunei Darussalam.
