SHENA regulates and enforces all matters related to workplace Safety, Health and Environment as well as radiation in Brunei Darussalam. One of SHENA’s functions is to conduct monitoring visit. Monitoring visit is an unannounced visits to any workplace example small construction sites, restaurants and etc. to verify compliance to laws and raise awareness on safety and the regulatory requirements.

Issuance of legal notices such as Warning Letters, Remedial Orders, Stop Work Orders and Compound Fines may be issued when non-compliance to the laws is identified.
